Parker City Government

The City of Parker is aldermanic form of government.  The Parker City Council consists of Mayor Derek Nolan and six council members.  The mayor and council members are on two-year terms.  Rotation of these positions vary according to term of office.  Elections for these positions are held in April of each year.  There are three wards in the City of Parker with two representatives from each ward.  The mayor is elected at-large.

The Parker City Council meet monthly on the first Monday following the first Tuesday of each month.  Meetings are held at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers of Parker City Hall.  Meetings are open to the public unless otherwise advertised as Executive Session according to SDCL 1-25-2.

are asked to call the City Finance Officer at 605-297-4453 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.


Council meetings are open to the general public. 
Regular council meetings are held on
 the first Monday following the first Tuesday of each month. 
7:00 pm in the Parker Council Chambers located at 185 N Main Ave.

Special council meetings may be held as needed.
