Your Town. Your Voice.
A couple weeks ago we held a community planning meeting to discuss your visions of Parkers future. We had great representation from young and old alike in our community and some terrific ideas were raised. We’ve also received some very nice feedback subsequent to the meeting from those who weren’t able to attend. Ideas ranged from Arts and Entertainment to Parks and Recreation. And from City Works projects to Business opportunities.
On January 4th, 2010 we’re going to be holding a Goal Setting meeting wherein we’re going to plan how we can go about achieving these great visions for Parker. The greatness of this project is that it’s your ideas that you get to mold into a plan. You not only get to be a part of the process… you are the process!
In order to do this successfully we obviously need you. I encourage everyone who showed up at our first meeting to please come out again. If you weren’t able to make the first meeting, we’d still love to have you at this meeting.
So please mark your calendars for Monday, January 4th, 2010. The meeting will take place in the high school gym from 7pm to 9pm. A light meal will be served and free child care will be provided. And as an extra enticement the Parker Development Corporation will be giving out gifts to all who attend of our cool Parker T-shirt while supplies last
