The purpose of our church-"To bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develope them to Christ-like-maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God's name."
A faith in progress. This describes first Bapist Church and its members over the last one hundred and thirty years of existence. Before South Dakota have become a state, faithful members and firends came together with the leadership of Rev. J.J. McIntire. Starting in the McIntire's small pioneer home they began this church that now continues into the 21st century. From the pioneer home to the newly built church on Eastside Avenue, First Baptist Church continues to work together for the cuase of Christ. We strive ahead with the hands of Christ and look forward to another new chapter that God has planned for us all.
